Obstetrics

Congratulations on your Pregnancy
or welcome if you are visiting to learn more about us.

Obstetrics

Even though you will be experiencing a range of feelings, emotions, and physical changes, that are all new to you, we want to ensure we make you feel at ease through this beautiful process you are about to begin.

Prenatal care is an essential part of a healthy pregnancy and one of the best ways to promote a healthy birth. Regular doctor visits allow for the monitoring of you and your baby’s health and to spot problems early on if they were to arise. You should schedule your first prenatal appointment with one of our practitioners as soon as you think you are pregnant.

We provide general obstetrical services and offer care for women with low as well as high-risk pregnancies, including women with some preexisting medical conditions, complicated pregnancies and multiple pregnancies.

Low Risk Obstetrics

Having a baby is a very exciting and memorable time in a woman’s life.

Our goal is to provide you with a team of healthcare providers committed to excellence who strive to give you a positive experience. We are dedicated to practicing evidence-based medicine with a patient-focused approach in a safe and welcoming environment.

Prenatal Testing

Often times, a patient may require prenatal testing during her pregnancy. Prenatal testing (PNT) is a service that we provide that helps to ensure fetal well-being.

This is accomplished through a non-stress test (NST) or a biophysical profile (BPP). These are both non-invasive forms of testing that are both safe and reliable.

NST– a patient is placed on a monitor which records the baby’s heartbeat and also determines if the mother is contracting

BPP– an ultrasound exam that is performed to evaluate the movement and breathing of the baby, as well as the fluid around the baby

High Risk Obstetrics

We offer care for women with complicated pregnancies, including moms with special medical problems such as:

  • Hypertension
  • Diabetes Mellitus
  • Asthma
  • Hypothyroidism

We also provide care for women who develop pregnancy-related complications including:

  • Preterm labor
  • Pre-eclampsia
  • Multiple gestations
  • Gestational diabetes
  • Fetuses with growth restriction

We are not limited to care for the above mentioned medical problems and are committed to providing comprehensive care throughout your pregnancy. We also have a great partnership with local maternal fetal medicine (MFM) specialists who focus on the medical and surgical management of high risk pregnancies.

Ultrasound

An ultrasound, or sonogram, can be used for many reasons in pregnancy. We have 2 in-house certified ultrasonographers who work during our regular office hours.

Ultrasounds can be used for the following reasons:

  • To confirm an established pregnancy
Examine a woman’s uterus, tubes, and ovaries
  • Evaluate first trimester bleeding
  • Determine the age of a pregnancy or weeks of the gestation
  • Evaluate the position of the baby
  • Determine if there are multiple fetuses/pregnancy
    Evaluate a baby’s anatomy
  • Early Gender Ultrasounds
  • We offer early gender ultrasounds starting at 13 weeks.
3D/4D Ultrasounds

3D/4D ultrasonography is an advanced technology that displays the anatomy of the baby in a more “real-life” view. Patient’s can schedule in third trimester. Please call the office for more information about pricing.

Not only can 3D/4D ultrasounds be useful in evaluating fetal abnormalities, but it is also a wonderful service that patients can utilize to get a glimpse at what their baby looks like. We are excited to offer this unique technology to our patients.
