How many treatments will I need?
Because the hair grows in three stages, multiple treatments are required to achieve the desired effect of laser hair removal. Typically, 6-8 treatments spaced 6-8 weeks apart are recommended.
Is laser hair removal permanent?
Laser treatments are only approved by the FDA for “permanent hair reduction.” This simply means that some regrowth is to be expected. Most patients experience 80-90% reduction after the series of treatments but should not expect to be hair free.
Is laser hair removal painful?
There may be some slight discomfort, comparable to a rubber band slightly snapping against the skin. Fortunately, excel HR is continuously cooling the skin before, during and after each pulse.
How do I prepare for a laser hair removal treatment?
Six weeks prior to treatment, plucking, electrolysis and waxing should be avoided. On the day of the treatment, skin should be clean-shaven and thoroughly cleansed of makeup, creams or oils. It is important not to expose the treatment area to sunlight, tanning bed or any type of self-tanning methods at least 4-6 weeks prior to treatment.
Are there side effects?
Permanent side effects are rare and may include redness, swelling, hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation, blistering, scarring and bruising in the treated area. These usually don’t last more than a few days.

How does Laser Genesis work?
Micro-pulses of laser energy are gently delivered to the skin. The laser stimulates the body’s own processes to activate collagen remodeling to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and unwanted brown spots. In addition, Laser Genesis addresses facial redness by targeting the excess micro vessels. Although the individual treatment results are subtle, the overall effect of a treatment series can be quite dramatic.
What does Laser Genesis feel like?
Laser Genesis feels warm on the surface of the skin during the treatment. Most patients find the treatment very relaxing and therapeutic.
What areas can be treated?
Laser Genesis can be done on areas such as the face, neck, chest and other areas of the body with noticeable signs of aging, sun damage, redness, mild wrinkles or scarring.
How many treatments are required?
To achieve optimal results usually four to six treatments is recommended. Results are gradual and will be seen over a period of a few treatments. The skin will continue to improve for months after the last treatment.
What are possible side effects?
Laser Genesis is non-invasive so you may notice slight redness, but it will resolve within a few hours. You can apply sunscreen and makeup right after the procedure.

Excel HR VEIN AND PIGMENT REMOVAL
What does excel HR treat?
The excel HR has the capability to treat a wide range of skin concerns including unwanted veins, redness or pigment on the face and body. In addition to addressing skin concerns, excel HR can remove unwanted hair on all skin types and areas of the body.
What should I expect during the treatment?
Excel HR treatments can be compared to a rubber band slightly snapping against the skin. The treatment can be easily tolerated thanks to the cooled treatment tip staying in contact with the skin during the session.
What should I expect after the treatment?
After vein treatments you will need to keep the treated area wrapped for 48 hours with no exercise, then only during the day for the next 5 days after. You can return to normal activities. After pigment treatments typically normal activities can be resumed right after the treatment. Expect treated pigmentation and dark spots to get darker and slough off within 3 to 6 days.
How many treatments will I need?
Typically, the number of treatments vary based on your concern. Most patients are happy after one or two treatments. We will discuss a customized treatment plan at the time of consultation.
